Brunel launch netball open days!
If you are a student looking to play top class netball with a performance programme to match your potential, or just looking to enjoy playing whilst you study then Brunel University could offer just what you need.
As the official partner to the Brunel Hurricanes Co-operative Netball Superleague side, Brunel University offers state of the art, top class facilities as well as all the support you need whilst you study, so if you would like to come and see what Brunel can offer you or just have a look around, then come along to our new netball open days on Friday 20th and 27th June.
This year Brunel University sport continued their rise as one of the UK’s most elite sporting institutes.
The 1st netball team reached the BUSA semi finals and the 2nd team the final of the BUSA Shield. Two Brunel University students; Samantha Dick and Rhianne McHale were selected to play for Brunel Hurricanes in the Co-operative Netball Superleague, both were also selected for the English University squad alongside another Brunel athlete Letitia Biddulph. Hayley Marsh was also selected as a reserve.
In athletics, Brunel completed a comprehensive victory in the UK Athletics Inter-Varsity Challenge against Bath, Loughborough, Birmingham and UWIC.
Brunel have also vowed to replicate the world-class training environment they have in athletics for netball to ensure that the future of both the Brunel Hurricanes and the Brunel University sides is equally as successful for many years to come.
